Introduction:
This station is the 'result with flying colors' of an endeavor by the few prominent figures of Eastern Nepal. It is the first electronic media-house of Mechi Zone. It is located in Charpane V.D.C, ward. no. 1, Birtamode, Jhapa. From the first transmission of 7th October 2002, it has proved to be the most reliable source of information, education and entertainment for the listeners of the area. It has successfully aided the listeners with varieties of informative and entertaining programs.
Being situated in a location with its own typical cultural attributes, station has tried its best to satisfy the people from every walks of life. In addition to this, it has duly heeded to the voices of nepali-speaking Indian citizens of Darjeeling, Doors, and Sikkim.
The station is enriching its reliability and credibility by making the effective participation of the listeners and by offering them to air their views, wishes, talents, problems and many more in their own voice. The impeccable production and presentation of the shows have made the positive impact on the different aspects of society.

Catchments:
Kanchanjungha F.M. 92.6 MHz, with its transmission power of 1000 watts, has wide catchments. It includes many districts of eastern Nepal and few areas of India and Bhutan. It can easily be tuned in the radios of Jhapa, Ilam, Panchthar, Taplejung, Terathum, Sankhuwasabha, Dhankuta, Bhojpur, Khotang, Okhaldhungha, Solukhumbu, Udaypur, Morang and Sunsari. Moreover, the people in Darjeeling, Sikkim, Doors and few areas of Bhutan can distinctly listen to our transmission.
